Cranfield University (Manufacturing and Materials Department) seeks to develop MSCs in the area of digital communication and software development. An offer will include a fully funded bursary for Home and EU research degree students based in the UK.


The MSC by researcher studentship, of up to £12,000 for the period of one year with the potential to extend to up to 3 years. The studentship will cover the tuition fee of  £4,750 for Home/EU students only.

The focus of this MSc by research award is on the research and development of a digital application to support a 3D object scanner technology. This MSC by research project will require a programmer with software development skills.  A knowledge of C++ and C# is a basic technical requirement, however other software and database capabilities are desirable.

 

Please Note: This MSc studentship aims to attract a software developer with the passion and drive to build new and exciting algorithmic/software solutions.

 

Throughout the project the candidate will be expected to meet with the industry sponsor and academic supervisor on a regular basis to research and develop exciting propositions that could be implemented in the digital arena.

 

Candidate Requirements
Successful applicants will have strong abilities in software development, image manipulation and filtration techniques. A good first degree (2:1 or above) in software design-related discipline is required. Strong communication and presentation skills are also required.
