This is a systems analyst/database position in the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA) responsible to support the implementation and continuing development efforts of the PeopleSoft student administration system. Specifically, this position will report to the Financial Aid Systems Manager, will have the shared responsibility for the implementation/technical aspect of the system, will be responsible to assist in PeopleSoft systems development, testing, administration, and operation along with internal operations, data integrity, reporting/electronic security. This position will be a liaison with the Computing Services (CSSD) staff and will assist with the ongoing efforts to streamline process and minimize risk between OAFA, the Office of Student Financial Services, Registrar, and the academic units. Position will assist in the development and implementation of policies that contribute to achieving the goals of OAFA, including the maintenance and development and implementation of policies that contribute to achieving the goals of OAFA, including the maintenance and development of cutting-edge electronic initiatives enhancing program integrity, minimizing risk and providing significant added value to customer service. The incumbent will be part of a systems team, who are responsible for designing and developing applications that impact major University initiatives. The incumbent will be a vital part of the team in understanding our technical needs and they must have the ability to perform and communicate (technically) what is needed. Strong project communication skills are required to be successful in this position. Preference will be given to candidates with PeopleSoft student administration and/or financial aid systems experience and proficiency in Access and SQL databases. Minimum Education Level Required: Baccalaureate
