POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes is seeking a Research Technician B to to work on a project investigating the role of novel hypothalamic proteins on glucose regulation in young and aging rodents.
The duties will include:
- performing pancreatic insulin clamps in rodents
- cell culture studies for validation and assessment of molecular targets
- DNA and RNA isolation and purification
- immunohistochemical analyses
Job Requirements
- BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry or other science-related area required
- Previous experience with animal handling, cell culture, protein analysis and basic microbiology techniques preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills required
