The Centre for Energy and Resource Technology at Cranfield University, in partnership with Viridor, is looking for a highly motivated science or engineering graduate to join the MTech Waste and Resource Management programme. The successful candidateswill undertake a two year programme of study and company-based project work leading to a professional Master of Technology qualification.
Project work will be based within Viridor’s offices and Cranfield’s analytical lab facilities. Successful candidates will have an Engineering or Science degree with a sound understanding of process science, and ideally possess some knowledge of environmental microbiology, chemistry biotechnology or environmental engineering.
Combining taught modules and research, the highly vocational MTech programme focuses on the practical application of innovative techniques while developing the individual’s professional career path. It is specifically designed to emphasise the understanding and exploitation of advanced technologies and management disciplines in relation to the waste sector, alongside developing the individual’s applied research capability.
Entry requirements
Applicants should have a first or upper second class UK honours degree in Engineering or Science.
Funding
*For individuals not classified as UK/EU fee status there will be a requirement to pay £9,000 p.a. to cover additional fees. Confirmation of the ability to cover these fees will be required before the candidate can be put forward for consideration by Cranfield and the sponsoring company.
