POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Research Technician B for the Cancer Center in the Histopathology Facility. The Histology and Comparative Pathology Facility provides comprehensive histology and histopathology support to AECC investigators in addition to diagnostic pathology support to the AECC Animal Barrier Shared Resource. The facility can support most aspects of tissue evaluation, from performing the necropsy to the final histological diagnostic evaluation. Histological services include tissue fixation/decalcification, routine tissue processing for paraffin sections, tissue freezing and cryosectioning, and a wide assortment of standard and specialized stains (including immunohistochemical and enzyme histochemical) to meet the needs of AECC investigators.
Job Requirements

BA or BS with a major/minor in Biology, Biochemistry or other life science related area required
- Must be familiar with basic procedures involved in handling chemicals and standard lab equipment
