POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Magnetic Resonance Research Center (MRRC)performs MRI research supported by NIH and other funding sources. The Research Technician B will manage and operate the MRRC’s 9.4 Tesla MR spectrometer, used for basic research, including rodent research, in support of ongoing projects. In addition to the operation of the research scanner, the candidate will learn appropriate data analysis methodology and contribute to ongoing research projects by managing data acquisition and analysis for selected projects.

- BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering,Physics or other science-related area required
- Willingness to work extensively with rodents in a research setting, including handling and anesthesia required
- Willingness to work occasionalevenings and weekends required
- Familiarity with Microsoft officeand willingness to learn Linux required
- Familiarity with magnetic resonance (spectroscopy or imaging) a plus
