The Curriculum and Instructional Specialist will be responsible for writing, developing, and maintaining child welfare curriculum to be delivered both in-person and on-line, including video, and interactive on-line activities, for the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Training Program (Training Program). The Curriculum and Instructional Specialist functions as a team member for the Curriculum and Trainer Development Department of the Training Program. Master's degree preferred or a Bachelor's degree in training and development, adult education, social work, counseling, psychology, or closely related field required. Must have competency in adult education, training design, delivery and evaluation; and proficiency with Power Point. Knowledge of the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Practice Standards and public child welfare practice is strongly preferred. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, writing, collaboration, problem-solving, planning/organizing, and facilitation skills required. Attention to details, ability to plan and meet deadlines and quickly adapt and learn complicated software programs required. Minimum of five years’ experience in public or private child welfare is strongly preferred. Experience in curriculum development and training design is strongly preferred. Experience in delivering training and/or group facilitation is strongly preferred. Experience in educating and training others on distance learning and on-line curriculum programs strongly preferred.
