Posted date [2012-Mar-30]
(ID: 1887)
Postdoctoral fellow required to study the critical food packaging parameters governing quality retention and shelf life extension of fresh produce treated using a non-thermal plasma system. The work will integrate Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and in-pack Non-Thermal Plasma (NTP) for fresh produce. Analysis of gas compositions, respiration & transpiration rates over a selection of packaging conditions will be preformed. Optimised film permeability and modified athmospheric conditions will be identified for specific produce and plasma treatment parameters.
