POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Research Technician C will participate in our NIH-funded Structural Genomics program. Duties would involve robotic protein crystallization and optimization and crystal freezing. Additional duties would involve simple protein chemistry techniques, such as centrifugation and melting temperature determinations.
Education and Experience
- BA/BS in related science or equivalent skills
- At least two years related experience
- Experience with molecular biology, protein purification and protein chemistry preferred
- Experience making solutions and pHing solutions and pipeting
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent organizational and communication skills are important
- The ideal candidate will have superior written and verbal communication skill as well as the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
