The University of Pittsburgh in the Mechanicsburg location is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant. The incumbent will be responsible for providing professional customer service, administrative, and technical support to the staff of the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center (Resource Center). The Administrative Assistant functions as a team member of the Administrative Department of the Resource Center. Duties include providing administrative support and assistance to the assigned department manager(s), supervisor(s), and staff.?This position provides administrative support for training and delivery needs, along with backup support for the front desk. Must also be efficient in scheduling meetings, providing support during meetings and events, and recording and distributing meeting minutes. The Child Welfare Resource Center operates in a hybrid work approach where work can be completed remotely, in the Mechanicsburg office, and in the field as necessary and appropriate.?Time for this position is estimated as 55% remote work, 40% in the Mechanicsburg office, and 5% in the field.?Must be able to travel infrequently statewide throughout the Commonwealth. Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations preferred. A commitment to achieving equity and inclusion in the child welfare system is a must. Job Summary Performs administrative assistant support work of moderate complexity.

Essential Functions Must be able to operate computers and other office equipment; communicate effectively with management contacts as well as internal and external contacts; perform under pressure of numerous deadlines; perform multiple job tasks and projects simultaneously. A valid driver’s license or the ability to travel to perform the essential functions is required. This position requires proficiency in MS Office Suite including Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and Outlook.

Physical Effort Typical field travel required will be statewide throughout the Commonwealth on an infrequent basis, lift up to 30 pounds, set up and prepare audiovisual equipment for meetings and presentations.
