The Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator who will assist in the coordination of clinical research activities within study protocols for industry, privately funded, observational and NIH funded protocols.
The incumbent will be responsible for recruitment of patients, assist with IRB preparation and submission, provide direct patient care including preparing for study site visits, maintain all necessary records, and provide regular communication between the study principal investigator, the research nurse coordinators, patients, sponsoring agency and other health care providers and researchers related to the study.
Experience in laboratory procedures for processing and aliquoting blood products, and tissue samples is preferred. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted. BCLS: Basic Cardiac Life Support, IATA: International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Shipping
