Mechanicsburg Child Welfare Training Programs – Pennsylvania-Mechanicsburg – (23001823)

The Human Resources (HR)Specialist is responsible for human resources activities of the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center (CWRC), including recruiting and onboarding, maintaining job descriptions, and coordinating employee requests to include eligibility for insurance, retirement, education, and other benefits. Responsible for employee orientation. Confers with Supervisors and Executive Team members on confidential human resource matters. The HR Specialist is a liaison to the University Human Resources departments including Recruiting and Client Services, Compensation, and Benefits. The Child Welfare Resource Center operates in a hybrid work approach where work can be completed remotely, in the Mechanicsburg office, and in the field as necessary and appropriate. Time for this position is estimated as 90% remote work, 5% in the Mechanicsburg office, and 5% in the field.

Must be able to travel long distances on a frequent basis, lift to 20 pounds, set up and prepare audiovisual equipment for meetings and presentations. A valid driver’s license is required. Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations preferred. A commitment to achieving equity and inclusion in the child welfare system is a must. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience in human resource work. A combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered for university guidelines. Excellent interpersonal communication, writing, coordinating, customer service, and computer skills. Works independently. A valid driver’s license.
