Med-Medicine – Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh – (22001333)

The Department of Medicine Division of Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh seeks a qualified Laboratory Technician in a state-of-the-art internationally recognized pulmonary research program in the area of lung aging, repair and regeneration. Under the supervision of the senior scientist, the incumbent will perform laboratory techniques such as immunocytochemistry, western blots, PCR, cell culture, and DNA/RNA extraction. In addition, human and murine tissue processing and generation of biosamples will be performed. Appropriate supervision is provided.

Understanding of basic lab techniques is required. Skill/experience with cell culture is desired. Bachelor’s degree in biologic or chemical science preferred, but an Associates degree in biological or chemical sciences may be considered. Meticulous work habits, dependability, and good communication skills are required.
