A Research Assistant position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nara Lee in the Department of MMG at Bridgeside Point II. The Lee lab studies how viruses employ noncoding RNAs to benefit their life cycle using cutting-edge technologies. The incumbent is expected to have prior wet lab experience in standard molecular biological techniques (e.g. cloning, protein purification, and tissue culture work) and be a quick learner. Candidates with experience in computational biology will be preferred. Ideally, the candidate will have great organizational skills to also act as the lab manager. This position will start in the summer/fall of 2021. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
This position requires a Bachelors degree and 2-3 years experience.
