Responsibilities

Manage and organize institutional databases, contribute to research activities to increase institutional effectiveness, and meet the data and research needs of internal and external stakeholders. Serve as the primary analyst and manager of data and surveys administered by the Butler Center for Research. Support in validation of appropriate research measures. Disseminate results of research through scholarly publications and conference presentations. Support staff trainings on integrating data into program services and presentations related to research. Supervise the work of interns and act as Team Lead for data collection specialists under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of the Butler Center, and work in close collaboration under the Research Scientist.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or related degree, or 9 year’s related work experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing complex data systems and data analyses
  • Proficient use of MS Office and statistical software, including STATA, SPSS.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and flexibility
  • Ability to travel periodically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or related field
  • Prior supervision and leadership experience
  • Data Base fundamentals for SQL Server (primary), Oracle 9i or compatible
