We are currently seeking an ophthalmologist for a well-functioning and forward-thinking clinic in southwest Sweden. The clinic’s focus areas include: General ophthalmology Paediatric ophthalmology Diagnosis and follow-up of diabetic retinopathy Glaucoma management and chronic eye care Neurological and inflammatory eye conditions Cataract assessments and the possibility of performing cataract surgery if qualified The clinic is known for its strong team spirit, low staff turnover, and well-structured collaboration between physicians, optometrists, nurses, and support staff.
Your role: As a specialist in ophthalmology, your responsibilities will include: Diagnosing, treating, and following up on a wide range of eye conditions Collaborating actively with other healthcare professionals in the team Supervising and mentoring residents Contributing to the development of clinical practices and care processes
Qualifications: EU-recognised specialist certification in ophthalmology Minimum of two years of experience as a specialist Good communication skills in English and a willingness to learn Swedish Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-focused approach
