The University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Child Welfare in Mechanicsburg is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Evaluation Coordinator. The Evaluation Coordinator position functions as a team member of the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center (Resource Center) as well as a team member of the Research and Evaluation Department whose duties currently focus on managing and coordinating the evaluation of family engagement efforts statewide.
Specifically, the Evaluation Coordinator implements and monitors quality assurance processes for data submissions, provides support and resources to counties regarding their data submissions (e.g., training and technical assistance about how to complete forms, submit data, correct submissions), and supports a variety of reporting/communication about family engagement data including dashboards, meeting/conference presentations, webinars and written reports to funders, stakeholders, and counties. The Evaluation Coordinator carries out these responsibilities in the context of two projects, the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Demonstration Project and Pennsylvania’s Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) Statewide Evaluation.
The Evaluation Coordinator also supports the development and implementation of a variety of research and evaluation to improve processes and products and contribute to evidence-based child welfare practice and improved outcomes for children, youth, and families. The Evaluation Coordinator supports this work by engaging in activities related to family engagement and other projects. Activities include supporting and coordinating the collection of data through a variety of methods (e.g., focus groups, surveys, interviews), data entry/processing and quality assurance, communication with participants/stakeholders, and reporting.
Statewide travel is required. A valid driver’s license is required.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field and 2-3 years’ experience in the human services and/or administrative field are required.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field may be substituted for the degree requirement where the required and preferred experiences exceed the minimums listed herein.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning, managing/coordinating and leading data collection, program evaluation, and/or applied research projects is preferred.
Must have excellent interpersonal, writing, collaboration, problem-solving, customer service, communication, analytical, and computer skills are required.
