The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Lab Technician who will be responsible for data collection and analysis, according to protocols defined in NIH grant applications. He/she will also be responsible for the care and maintenance of animals, according to standards defined by the federal government and the University of Pittsburgh IACUC. In addition, this individual will instruct junior laboratory members and students regarding methods for data collection, analysis, and animal care along with monitoring progress to assure that all Federal and University regulations are adhered to.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree and prior experience in a research laboratory. Experience working with animals and/or neurophysiology experiments is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, physiology, biology, psychology, or a related field of study is required. Experience with a wide range of data analytic methods, particularly experience with neurophysiologic experiments, is preferred.
